Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland is regularly involved with inbound and outbound trade groups. There are considerable benefits in participating in both activities.

Outbound trade groups

Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland has developed strong international linkages via International Chambers of Commerce and the World Trade Centre Association. In some key overseas markets Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen relationships.

We are able to take advantage of these special contacts to help Queensland companies establish effective trading relationships overseas. These are particularly helpful when taking trade missions overseas.

Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland organises two outbound trade groups each year. These provide an ideal opportunity for Queensland companies to gauge the international competitiveness of their products and to obtain market intelligence about trade opportunities overseas.

Our trade mission staff take the time to match your business with the best possible contacts and accompany the trade group throughout the mission to ensure that you obtain the best possible outcomes from your visit.

Inbound missions

Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland on average receives one inbound trade mission per month and in the past has successfully received delegations from China, UK, Poland, India, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Indonesia and the United States.

We encourage all businesses to register their interest in being involved in the business matching process undertaken with inbound trade delegations.

Although primarily focussed on selling foreign product, inbound trade groups offer the ideal opportunity to gain valuable market information and provide Queensland companies the chance to gauge the competitiveness of their product. Companies preoccupied with imports naturally have a great deal to gain by being given priority access to overseas suppliers.
