Keeping Queensland Working
Queensland businesses recognise their responsibilities to the environment. However it is of crucial importance that in moving to a greener future we do not disadvantage Queensland businesses who are the providers of jobs and the way of life that we all love within our state.
For this reason an emission trading scheme such as the Federal Government's proposed Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme must only occur once global agreement is reached. By moving in unison with our global competitors we will not disadvantage our import competing businesses and exporters. Through this simple principle we can keep Queenslanders working.
In recognising the importance of this issue to the Queensland business community Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland would like to hear from you to promote awareness of our state's business perspective on this and other issues. Please email your comments and suggestions to .
