What is RSS?
RSS is an acronym of really simple syndication and allows you to receive news direct to your computer or mobile phone. RSS allows you to subscribe and read the content from a web page in your RSS news reader software. Whenever the web page is updated your newsreader will automatically display the new item.
To access information using RSS feeds you will need to select a news reader program. There are many news readers available and most are free. There is a list of RSS readers maintained at the DMOZ Open Directory Project.
To subscribe to an RSS feed, right-click on the orange RSS icon and select 'Copy Shortcut' to copy the URL and paste it into the appropriate place in your RSS reader. Be sure to follow the instructions for your particular news reader as each reader is different.
