President of CCIQ, David is also a director of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and of the International Chamber of Commerce (Australia).
He is also a director of Interport Cargo Services Pty Ltd, a 50-year-old company located at Port of Brisbane that provides port service operations and includes five acres of customs warehousing and quarantine facilities.
David has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting and finance, and is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
He has recently served as the Chair of the CCIQ Board’s Finance, Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
Peter is a civil engineer with extensive management experience in the food and engineering industries and in owning and operating small businesses. He is the director and founder of a medium-sized wholesale bakery business in Mackay that supplies bakery products to all sectors of the region’s retail and hospitality trades.
A current member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Peter is Chair of the Mackay and Central Coast Regional Policy Council, and a member of two key CCIQ committees: Finance, Audit, Risk and Compliance; and Business Development, Membership and Customer Service.
Tony is a partner-level commercial lawyer, practising in the fields of commercial, business and property. He provides legal advice to a wide variety of corporations, SMEs, financial institutions, business entities, commercial and retail property and hotel and tourism clients.
His commercial practice involves advising on business structures, companies, trusts, partnerships, business sales and purchases, business banking and finance.
He also acts for various not-for-profit and sporting organisations, and is a former president of the North Queensland Law Association Inc.
Tom is CEO of the Islander Resort Hotel, a three-star, 150-room hotel in Surfers Paradise. The family-owned company has investments in Nomads Backpackers Resort (a 239-bed backpacker hostel), Vegas in Paradise (a restaurant, bar and gaming lounge) and Sanctuary Resort in Malaysia.
Present Chair of the Gold Coast Regional Policy Council and member of CCIQ’s Business Development, Membership and Customer Service Committee, Tom has been an active member of the business community for many years.
As well as serving as a director for a number of business associations and organisations, Tom has long been involved with the Surfers Paradise Chamber of Commerce, where he was recently awarded life membership.
General Manager for Tyco Flow Control Pacific Pty Ltd, Ian is responsible for five operational sites and eight sales offices around the Australia and Pacific regions, as well as marketing to global industrial, mining, construction and rural market sectors.
Ian has extensive experience in the engineering industry, both in management and directorship roles.
He is currently Chair of the South West Regional Policy Council and Chair of the Finance, Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
Brett is a partner of Marino Moller Lawyers – a Cairns and regional law firm – and a fourth generation Gordonvale cane farmer.
During his extensive legal career, Brett has practised within a range of rural industries including the buying and selling of cattle properties, dairy farms, sugar cane, banana farms and transfers of water allocations and water licenses. Brett's experience also extends to commercial work for property investors, business owners, landlords, tenants and community associations.
An active member of the Cairns and regional business community for many years, Brett is the current Chair of the Far North Queensland Regional Policy Council.
Stephen is a Recruitment Executive with the Wise Recruitment Group. He has successfully held sales, management and business ownership roles in the Banking, Finance and Insurance sector for over 20 years.
As Chair of the Sunshine Coast Chambers of Commerce Alliance, Stephen takes an active role in business development and support for Chambers of Commerce across the Sunshine Coast.
Stephen is active in regional economic development and community based business support initiatives, and is a Member of the Sunshine Coast Economic Development Advisory Board
Stephen is also the current Chair of the Sunshine Coast Regional Policy Council.
