WorkCover premiums to rise

The Queensland Government has announced changes to Queensland's workers compensation arrangements, including an increase to the average premium from $1.15 per $100 of wages paid to $1.30 and increases to the employer excess from 1 July 2010.

Modern Awards & National Employment Standards take effect

State Referral Bill Passed

The Senate passed The Fair Work Amendment (State Referral and Other Measures) Bill 2009 on 2 December which will allow the national IR system to start on 1 January 2010.
