Employer Assistance Line (EAL)

The Employer Assistance Line is a free phone service for CCIQ members to phone or email for general assistance on queries regarding industrial relations, HR and award interpretation.

Phone or email our hotline staff, and we’ll answer your query within 24 hours.

Common calls to our Employer Assistance Line include interpreting the new modern awards that came into place on 1 January 2010, including the existing 2B state awards and the Notional Preserving State Awards (NAPSAs). We’ll provide fast feedback on what you need to know.

Depending on your membership level, there are membership packages that include one free award upon membership, and then you are able to purchase awards that you subscribe too.  The cost per award is $60 + GST, therefore $66 total per award.

Our hotline staff also provide general assistance in a wide range of industrial relations and human relations, from employee counselling to redundancy, union activity, leave entitlements and general workplace health and safety.

We also talk regularly to employers who need general information about traineeships, apprenticeships, workers’ compensation and accidents in the workplace. We direct more in-depth or specific questions on workplace injuries to our Workers’ Compensation Advice Line on 1300 364 165.
