Google Cloud: G Suite and G Suite for Education

As more employees, educators, and students work remotely in response to the spread of COVID-19, we want to do our part to help them stay connected and productive. G Suite and G Suite for Education make up our collection of productivity apps that help businesses and educators collaborate no matter where they’re located.

As more businesses adjust their work-from-home policies and adopt reduced travel plans in response to COVID-19, Google G Suite is helping to ensure that all globally distributed teams can still reliably meet face to face, even if employees are not in the same location.

Starting this week, they will begin rolling out free access to their advanced Hangouts Meet video-conferencing capabilities to all G Suite and G Suite for Education customers globally including:

G-Suite - Free enterprise edition until July 1st

Google announced this past week that they are going to be giving access to their advanced Hangouts Meet feature to all Education and G Suite customers up until the first of July this year. The extension will allow G Suite Education and G Suite Basic users to access Enterprise features such as permitting up to 250 individuals to take part in a call, capability to record and save meetings, and livestreaming content for thousands of viewers.

Microsoft is offering unlimited chat, built-in group and one-on-one audio or video calling, 10 GB of team file storage and 2 GB of personal file storage per user. You also get real-time collaboration with the Office apps for web, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

2 months free: Adobe Creative Cloud

Many creatives have been hit hard by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Adobe is giving every subscriber two months of free subscriptions during this economic downturn. 

How to redeem: 

  • Log onto your creative cloud account 
  • Cancel your plan 
  • Go through the cancellation steps (an offer will appear during your account cancellation)

Free - Zoom Basic Plan

Zoom (video conferencing software) is offering up to 100 participants in a meeting and hold unlimited one-on-one meetings with the video-conference provider’s complimentary plan. This does provide a 40-minute limit on group meetings, though you’re not limited to the number of meetings.
