Prof Mark Harvey - Vice President

Mark has played a key role in the formation and growth of over 20 organisations, which has included managing research & development, operations, finances, fund raising, and intellectual property commercialisation. Mark has been on the Board of Directors of ASX and NASDAQ listed public companies, CEO and Partner of two venture capital companies, a member of the Investment Committee of several venture funds, and on the Board of Directors of Toowoomba & Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) and the Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation (QCIF). Mark is currently the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) where he responsible for the university’s research portfolio, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Sunsuper. Mark has a PhD and MBA from The University of Queensland.

Sarah Kirk

Sarah Kirk is Director Relationships with Judo Bank, an SME challenger bank and one of Australia’s fastest growing small business funders. Sarah has almost 20 years of investment and banking experience with Macquarie Group and Westpac Banking Corporation, supporting clients of various sizes within Corporate Advisory and Business Banking divisions. Sarah has experience leading community and not-for-profit initiatives, currently serving as a director of Lourdes Hill College and previously as a director of Australia's CEO Challenge.

Simon Lockyer

Simon has over 20 years Management, Advertising, Marketing, Not for Profit and Board experience.

His most recent achievements include co-founding Everydayhero, a pioneering Software as a Service, Peer-to-Peer fundraising platform that operates in Australia, the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand. Since launching in 2007, Everydayhero has grown its membership base to over 3500 Not for Profit organisations and partners with some of the world’s leading community events including the LA Marathon, Sun Herald City2Surf and the Moonwalk London.

Everydayhero has facilitated over $300 Million in donations and was acquired by the NASDAQ listed US company Blackbaud (BLKB) in 2011. Since the acquisition by Blackbaud Simon has remained on as Global Marketing Director and is currently focused on growing the business in international markets.

Prior to Everydayhero, Simon built a successful career in advertising and was the Queensland Managing Director of the international agency, McCann Erickson. Simon currently serves on the national Board of the Edmund Rice Foundation  and is a member of the Eighth Gate Capital Management Advisory Board.

Previous Board positions include The Princess Alexandra Research and Development Foundation and The Queensland Music Festival. He was also a co-founder and inaugural CEO of the Not for Profit organisation Youngcare whose achievements include building Australia's first nursing home for young people with high care needs.

Jennifer Nielsen

Jennifer Nielsen is the founder of Australia’s biggest eco community and information platform,, and more recently has developed Ekko Score to help consumers buy more sustainably, by giving products a transparent 'balanced scorecard' Eco Rating.

Jennifer is also an Executive Shareholder of StratosMedia, an intelligent platform that collaborates with some of the worlds largest tech, retail and corporate brands to enable digital, data and IoT to be used more responsively. Jennifer has had a multifaceted career, having built and led businesses in technology, finance, human resources and advertising prior to moving into social enterprise and the sustainability sector. Jennifer was CEO of Loan Market and X Inc Finance.

Jennifer brings expertise in governance, sales and marketing to CCIQ, as well as new thinking regarding how businesses can adopt sustainability as a competitive advantage.

Tony Schiffmann - President

As Managing Partner of BDO in Brisbane, Tony leads the partnership group in executing the strategic direction for BDO as a challenger brand for audit, tax and advisory services in the Australian marketplace. Tony is a key stakeholder in the ongoing delivery of quality and value to clients, providing strategic leadership and input for driving new business development and growth for the firm. He is also dedicated to ensuring the firm retains its culture and common goal of being an employer of choice. Tony regularly speaks at high profile events and is active in issues relevant to the profession and public interest. While no longer maintaining a client base of his own, Tony plays a key advisory and relationship role with BDO’s clients. As a member of a number of advisory boards, Tony provides advice and direction in relation to an organisation’s strategies and how best to achieve them.
