Small business can cut one-third from their energy bills
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) has partnered with power management specialists Quality Energy to produce a white paper with tips to save 35 per cent off energy bills.
The 12-page guide to energy efficiency for your business, called Save Money and Save the Planet: Your definitive guide to better energy efficiency, will help small businesses take control of energy use.
“The power is in your hands. When you’re busy running your business, the last thing on your mind is usually calculating kilowatts,” the paper says.
“Yet the bottom line is this: the bottom line matters. Keep your energy costs in control and you’ll free up cash to flow in other areas of your business.
“Happily, deciding to be energy efficient does more than just save money. Because it gets you and your team focused on new ways of working in your business, you’ll find it has other flow-on effects – like greater productivity, smarter ways of working, reduced maintenance costs and better corporate reputation.
“How hard you decide to push energy efficiency in your business depends on lots of factors, including your budget and time availability.
“So, where do you start? Before you start changing lightbulbs, read CCIQ’s white paper on how to take control of your energy use. Remember, businesses that become energy efficient cut 35 per cent from their bills.”
Quality Energy, the manufacturing and construction winners at the 2016 Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards, design, build and install site-specific power factor correction systems tailored to your business needs.
The Australian-owned and operated company, based at Yatala, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, promises to minimise wasted energy, improve efficiency and save you money.
Quality Energy Director Luke Stratford said while power factor correction was the core of its business, the company was also looking at a more holistic view on energy efficiency.
“We look at your power bill and how to maximise savings within it. We will look at what products are out in the market to help reduce costs,” he said.
Mr Stratford said Quality Energy had included LED lighting, solar energy and voltage optimisation with its power factor correction solutions.
“We have a good team right across these four measures. We can look at them as an individual solutions or working together to help reduce costs. We are trying to broaden the audience and help businesses save on their power bills.”
CCIQ and Quality Energy will release the guide, Save Money and Save the Planet: Your definitive guide to better energy efficiency, at a special event in Brisbane on March 9.
