Queensland Business Energy Savings and Transformation (QBEST) Rebates

The QBEST Rebates program supports the purchase of energy efficient equipment, smart technology, and energy management systems to drive down business energy costs.

QBEST is an initiative under the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan. The Plan outlines a vision and pathway to transform Queensland’s electricity system to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable power for generations.

Find out more about the available programs including QBEST Rebates of up to $12,500 for eligible small and medium-sized Queensland businesses:

See the Department of Energy and Public Works website for more information and to apply for QBEST Rebates.

“QBEST Rebates is a terrific grant program for small business property owners.  I believe the program provides a point of difference for small business between being able to upgrade to more environmentally friendly equipment or not.  Without such programs I suspect many small businesses may decide against upgrading.” – Accountancy firm, Brisbane.

Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Grant Program

The Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Grant (MEEG) Program helps Queensland manufacturers to increase their competitiveness in a low carbon future by implementing energy efficiency measures that reduce energy costs and operational emissions. The MEEG Program is part of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan and also complements the Queensland Government’s Advanced Manufacturing 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan.

Queensland-based manufacturers looking to increase energy efficiency measures and technology, reduce energy usage and costs, reduce emissions and increase awareness of energy use are encouraged to apply for matched funding grants of $5,000 to $25,000. The applicant guidelines provide the full details including eligibility and assessment criteria.

Find out more via the Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water website.
