Want to avoid the 'zombie' scourge in your workplace?

On December 6, 2022 the Fair Work Act was amended through the introduction of the ‘Secure Jobs, Better Pay’ Act 2022. The amendments include new and changed enterprise agreement and bargaining laws.

Of those changes, Fair Work Commission members must now take into consideration new and different information when determining whether an Enterprise Agreement may be terminated. The amended Act also introduced the automatic sunsetting of Zombie Agreements in December 2023, unless another agreement has been reached.

Join Business Chamber Queensland’s webinar in partnership with Gilchrist Connell to understand your obligations and tackle the zombie scrouge. The webinar will cover:

  • A timeline of changes (past and upcoming) due to the Secure Jobs, Better Pay Act.
  • Changes to requirements covering the termination of enterprise agreements after the nominal expiry date.
  • Sunsetting of ‘zombie’ agreements.
